This refreshing detox drink combines lemongrass, lemon, and ginger to support digestion, boost immunity, and reduce stress. The light, zesty flavour of lemongrass pairs perfectly with the warmth of ginger and the brightness of lemon, making it an easy, enjoyable way to hydrate and refresh.
Ingredients
- 3–4 stalks of fresh lemongrass, lightly crushed
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 small knob of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 1–2 litres of water
- A touch of honey (optional)
Instructions

Prepare the Lemongrass & Ginger
- Rinse the lemongrass stalks under running water, then use the back of a knife or a rolling pin to gently crush them, releasing their natural oils.
- Thinly slice the ginger.

Brew the Detox Drink
- Bring 1–2 litres of water to a boil in a pot.
- Add the crushed lemongrass and sliced ginger to the pot, then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 15–20 minutes, allowing the flavours to infuse fully.

Add the Lemon Juice
- Turn off the heat and let the drink cool slightly. Add the lemon juice and stir.
- If you like a bit of sweetness, add a touch of honey to taste and stir until it’s fully dissolved.

Serve and Enjoy
- Pour into a glass and enjoy warm, or let it cool completely before refrigerating for a chilled drink. Store any leftover detox drink in the fridge and enjoy over the next 2–3 days.
